It's been reported that President Obama whips out his home brewed ales for special occasions: he offered it to his guests at the Superbowl earlier this year, and he even made a special batch for St. Patrick's Day! According to Presidential historians, there is no record of any president brewing their own beer at the White House since it was built. However, he's not the first president to brew beer. George Washington was a well known home brewer but the White House wasn't built until much after his presidency.
The beer is not Barack Obama's handiwork, since the kitchen staff does most of the work. However, having one would still give you bragging rights that you've had a beer made specially by the President!
