Rwanda is the country with highest % of women in parliament. The USA is ranked 69!


According to the Inter-Parlamentary Union, Rwanda leads all other countries in the world in the number of women being elected into their legislature. 

Out of the 106 seats of their legislature, 55 are held by women, which is 51% of seats. To put that into perspective, the United States has 90 women elected out of 534 legislative positions. That's only 16.8%!

These types of achievements are what the Mama Hope's Unlock the Potential campaign is attempting to highlight. Their motto is stop the pity, unlock the potential. Check out their video below.
